Saudi Arabian football team.

Al-Qadisiyah is a professional football club based in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, competing in the Saudi Pro League. The club, founded in 1967, is named after the historic Battle of al-Qadisiyyah and is known by its nickname "Fares Al Sharqiya" (Knights of the East). Al-Qadisiyah's traditional colors are yellow and blue, which are prominently featured in their home kits.

The team plays its home matches at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium, which has a capacity of 20,100 spectators. This venue has been the club's home ground since its establishment and has witnessed many of Al-Qadisiyah's memorable moments throughout its history.

Al-Qadisiyah has been a regular participant in the Saudi Premier League since its inception in the 1976-77 season. The club's best performance in the top flight came in the 1980-81 season when they finished in an impressive third place. However, their journey in Saudi football has been marked by periods of success and challenges, including several promotions and relegations between the top two divisions.

The early 1990s marked the most successful period in Al-Qadisiyah's history. In the 1991-92 season, they clinched their first major trophy by winning the Crown Prince Cup, defeating Al-Shabab 4-2 on penalties in the final. This victory not only brought domestic glory but also qualified them for continental competition.

Building on their domestic success, Al-Qadisiyah made a significant impact in Asian football. In the 1993-94 season, they reached the final of the Asian Cup Winners' Cup, where they faced South China. In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Al-Qadisiyah emerged victorious with a 6-2 aggregate score, securing their first and only continental title to date.

The same season also saw Al-Qadisiyah add another domestic trophy to their cabinet by winning the Saudi Federation Cup. They defeated Al-Nassr 2-0 in the final, capping off a highly successful period for the club.

Despite these achievements, Al-Qadisiyah faced a setback in the 1996-97 season when they were relegated from the top flight for the first time in their history, ending a 21-season streak in the Saudi Premier League. Since then, the club has experienced periods of promotion and relegation, showcasing the competitive nature of Saudi football.
