The Bolivia national football team, known as La Verde (The Green), represents Bolivia in men's international football. It is governed by the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF) and is a member of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL). The team's colors are green, red, and yellow, reflecting the national flag.

Bolivia has participated in three FIFA World Cups: 1930, 1950, and 1994. However, they have never advanced past the group stage, with their best performance being a single goal scored in 1994. Despite their World Cup struggles, Bolivia achieved significant success in the Copa América, winning the tournament in 1963 when they hosted it and finishing as runners-up in 1997.

The team's highest FIFA ranking was 18th in July 1997, while their lowest was 115th in October 2011. As of October 2024, they are ranked 79th. Bolivia plays its home matches at Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz, which is notable for its high altitude of 3,637 meters (11,932 feet) above sea level.

Marcelo Moreno holds the record for most caps with 108 appearances and is also the top scorer with 31 goals. The team has had memorable victories, including a historic 7-0 win against Venezuela in 1993 and a notable performance against Brazil during the qualifiers for the 1994 World Cup.

Under current head coach Óscar Villegas, Bolivia aims to improve its standing in international football. Recent efforts include a commitment to rebuilding the football system within the country. In March 2023, Bolivia achieved its first-ever away win against a World Cup team in the 21st century by defeating Saudi Arabia 2-1.

Despite facing challenges in recent years, including disappointing performances in Copa América tournaments following their successful run in the late '90s, Bolivia continues to strive for success on both continental and global stages.
