Cardiff City Football Club, commonly known as "The Bluebirds," was founded in 1908 by a group of local businessmen. Originally named Cardiff City Association Football Club, the club quickly established itself within Welsh football. Cardiff City joined the Football League in 1920, making it the first Welsh club to compete in the English league system. The club's early years were marked by significant achievements, including winning the FA Cup in 1927, where they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in the final. This victory remains a landmark moment in both the club's history and Welsh football.The club initially played its home matches at Ninian Park, which opened in 1910 and served as their ground for nearly a century. In 2009, Cardiff City moved to the Cardiff City Stadium, a modern facility with a capacity of approximately 33,000. This new stadium has allowed for an enhanced matchday experience and has become a focal point for fans.Throughout its history, Cardiff City has experienced both highs and lows.
