The Haiti national football team, known as Les Grenadiers (The Grenadiers), represents Haiti in international football. It is governed by the Fédération Haïtienne de Football (FHF) and is a member of CONCACAF. The team's colors are red and blue, reflecting the national flag, and they play their home matches at Stade Sylvio Cator in Port-au-Prince.
Haiti has a rich footballing history and was the second Caribbean nation to qualify for the FIFA World Cup, achieving this feat by winning the 1973 CONCACAF Championship. Their only World Cup appearance came in 1974, where they were drawn into a tough group with Italy, Poland, and Argentina. Haiti's debut match ended in a 3-1 loss to Italy, despite Emmanuel Sanon scoring the first goal for Haiti and ending goalkeeper Dino Zoff's record run of 1143 minutes without conceding a goal. They finished last in their group after losing to Poland (0-7) and Argentina (1-4).
The team has also participated in the CONCACAF Gold Cup 16 times, winning the championship in 1973. In 2016, Haiti made its Copa América debut during the tournament's centennial edition but did not advance past the group stage.
Haiti's highest FIFA ranking was 38th in January 2013, while their lowest was 155th in April 1996. As of October 2024, they are ranked 86th. The team has notable records, including a significant 13-0 victory over Sint Maarten in September 2018. Key players in Haiti's history include Pierre Richard Bruny, who holds the record for most caps with 95 appearances, and Emmanuel Sanon and Duckens Nazon, who share the top scorer title with 37 goals each.
