The Mozambique national football team, known as Os Mambas (The Mambas), represents Mozambique in international football and is governed by the Mozambican Football Federation. The team has never qualified for a FIFA World Cup but has participated in five Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, specifically in 1986, 1996, 1998, 2010, and most recently in 2023, where they were eliminated in the group stage each time. Mozambique's first international match was on June 25, 1975, when they defeated Zambia 2-1.

The team's home ground is Estádio do Zimpeto in Maputo, which can hold up to 42,000 spectators. The current head coach is Chiquinho Conde, who took over in July 2019. Mozambique has seen some success in regional competitions, notably finishing as runners-up in the COSAFA Cup in 2008 and 2015.

Mozambique's highest FIFA ranking was 66th in November 1997, while their lowest was 134th in July 2005. The team has recorded significant victories, including a 6-1 win against Lesotho in 1980 and a more recent 5-0 triumph over South Sudan in 2014. Domingues holds the record for the most caps with 116 appearances, while Tico-Tico is the top scorer with 30 goals.
