PFC Ludogorets Razgrad, commonly known as Ludogorets, is a professional football club based in Razgrad, Bulgaria. Founded in 2001, Ludogorets has experienced a meteoric rise to become one of the most dominant forces in Bulgarian football. The club plays its home matches at the Ludogorets Arena, which has a capacity of 10,422 spectators. Ludogorets' colors are green and white, earning them the nickname "The Eagles."
Despite their relatively short history, Ludogorets has achieved remarkable success in domestic competitions. The club won its first Bulgarian First League title in the 2011-12 season, just one year after being promoted to the top flight. Since then, Ludogorets has established an unprecedented era of dominance in Bulgarian football, winning eleven consecutive league titles from 2012 to 2022. This incredible run of success has seen them surpass many of Bulgaria's traditional powerhouses, including CSKA Sofia and Levski Sofia.
In addition to their league triumphs, Ludogorets has also enjoyed success in cup competitions. The club has won the Bulgarian Cup twice and the Bulgarian Supercup on four occasions. This domestic dominance has firmly established Ludogorets as the preeminent force in Bulgarian football over the past decade.
One of the most impressive aspects of Ludogorets' rise has been their performances in European competitions. The club has regularly qualified for the group stages of both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. Their most notable achievement came in the 2014-15 season when they reached the Champions League group stage, becoming only the second Bulgarian club to do so.
