Philadelphia Union is a professional soccer club based in Chester, Pennsylvania, competing in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference. Founded in 2008 and beginning play in 2010, the Union has quickly established itself as one of the most consistent and competitive teams in MLS.
The club plays its home games at Subaru Park, a soccer-specific stadium with a capacity of 18,500 located on the banks of the Delaware River. The stadium, which opened in 2010, is known for its intimate atmosphere and picturesque views of the Commodore Barry Bridge.

The Union's success continued in subsequent seasons. In 2021, they reached the Eastern Conference Final of the MLS Cup Playoffs, narrowly missing out on a place in the MLS Cup Final. In 2022, the club went one step further, reaching the MLS Cup Final for the first time in their history, where they were narrowly defeated by Los Angeles FC in a penalty shootout.
