Sevilla Football Club is a professional football club based in Seville, Andalusia, Spain. Founded in 1890, it is one of the oldest and most successful clubs in Spanish football. Sevilla plays its home games at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, which has a capacity of 43,883 spectators. The club's colors are white and red, earning them the nickname "Los Rojiblancos" (The Red and Whites).

Throughout its history, Sevilla has been a consistent presence in La Liga, Spain's top division. The club has won La Liga once, in the 1945-46 season, and has finished as runners-up four times. However, it is in cup competitions where Sevilla has truly excelled, particularly in recent years.

Sevilla has won the Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup) five times, with their most recent victory coming in 2010. But it is in European competitions where Sevilla has made its biggest mark. The club has won the UEFA Europa League (formerly the UEFA Cup) a record six times, with victories in 2006, 2007, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2020. This unprecedented success in Europe's second-tier competition has earned Sevilla the nickname "Kings of the Europa League."

The club's golden era began in the mid-2000s under the management of Juande Ramos. During this period, Sevilla won back-to-back UEFA Cups, the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Super Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup. This success continued under various managers, with the club consistently competing at the top end of La Liga and in European competitions.

Sevilla is renowned for its excellent scouting network and ability to develop players. The club has a history of signing relatively unknown players and turning them into stars before selling them on for significant profits. Notable examples include Dani Alves, Ivan Rakitić, and Jules Koundé.

The club's academy, known as "La Cantera," has also produced several notable players who have gone on to have successful careers both at Sevilla and other top clubs. Sergio Ramos, José Antonio Reyes, and Jesús Navas are among the most famous graduates of Sevilla's youth system.

Sevilla's biggest rivalry is with Real Betis, the other major club from Seville. The Seville derby, known as "El Gran Derbi," is one of the most passionate and intense rivalries in Spanish football.
